If you have any queries or you feel your procedure is not healing as explained please contact us immediately. Do not panic that the area treated may show redness/swelling and that the colour can look sharp, dark & intense - this is normal.
Additional treatments cannot be undertaken until the area has completely healed. A 4/8 week healing time is required before any subsequent procedures can occur.
You may notice whiteness or blanching around the area, this is normal and will subside within 12 hours.
DO NOT PICK OR PULL THE TREATED AREA AS IT WILL RESULT IN PIGMENT LOSS AND POTENTIALLY SCARRING.
YOU WILL GO THROUGH THREE HEALING PHASES: 1-HEAL 2-PEEL 3-FADE
Daily aftercare to follow for 1 week
-You must keep your eyebrows COMPLETELY dry for 7 days. Do not splash wash your face.
-Apply a FINE layer of ointment, twice daily (morning & night) please wash your hands before applying the ointment, & to prevent cross contamination use a clean cotton bud for each eyebrow. Too much ointment can inhibit healing.
- You must clean your eyebrows with sterile water (cool boiled water), and cotton pads in a blotting motion. This keeps the area clean. Make sure the cotton pads are blotted out and are not saturated with water.
- Be extremely cautious with skincare products, do not use any products directly on your eyebrows.
-Keep your hair away from your eyebrows to prevent the possibility of infection.
-Do not undergo any skincare beauty treatments.
-No makeup should be applied to the area or close to the area during this time.
-No excessive sweating
Avoid for 2 weeks
-Do not expose the enhancement to the sun/ UV light (sun beds), tanning treatments, jacuzzis, steam rooms, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, and direct shower spray.
-Do not have any peels, electrolysis, or laser hair removal close to the area.
-No excessive sweating
Long term aftercare
-Use a minimum of SPF 50 over your brows as sun exposure will fade the enhancement.
-If using sunbeds its recommended to completely cover the area.
-Strong chemicals/Glycolic acid/ peels of any kind may cause the enhancement to fade, always check with your technician if you’re unsure.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Giving blood - the Red Cross suggests you do not give blood for 6 months after the enhancement.
MRI - this procedure shows up as an artefact on the scan. Some clients may experience a tingling sensation. Please notify your radiologist.
Injectables - dermal fillers/Botox can alter the shape of the eyebrows.
Laser - Laser hair removal can cause colour change in the pigment, it’s important to notify the technician of the enhancement. As this cannot be rectified with another procedure.
Colour refreshing - to keep your microblading looking it’s very best, a 12 month colour boost session is recommended. For some clients with an oily/combination skin type this maybe required sooner than 12 months. Every client is different.
